Common Sense Precautions
|
Understanding your AnxietyEverything about the world with Covid-19 feels like its out of control. People need structure and a sense of control to feel stable and grounded in their lives. Anxiety, uncertainty, and fear are natural reactions to this type of disruption. The lack of structure from regular school, work and social interactions also commonly cause people to feel sad and lonely.
These are a normal reactions to an extraordinary situation. Practice self-care by setting up a daily routine for you and your family, connecting with others via phone, video, or social media and share your experiences, and avoid over-engaging in news consumption. If you feel like your anxiety or sadness is becoming the predominant feeling in your life, and/or is causing distress and interference with your ability to function, seek professional support. |
